Officially one of the three great gardens in Japan, the Korakuen is a vast sweep of lawns and ponds, crisscrossed with wide paths and bridges; at every turn, the eyes are feasted with changing vistas: the occasional tea house, man made hills, waterfalls, small shrines, cherry blossom groves, paddy fields, a guest house, with Okayama Castle as the backdrop. On a bright clear winter morning, the tranquillity and serenity of the place was liberating.
Hi, welcome to my mini travelogue. I love photography - it's my way of seeing the world, and it's a way of recording a snapshot which, if stored in human memory, will decay in time. I alternate between my Canon G10 and Lumix DMC-TZ7, but often I rely on my handy Sony Ericsson mobile phone. I have had a lot of fun taking photos during my travels, learning to improve my skills, and doing this blog. I hope you share the fun.
